INTRODUCTION

CLAIRE SEA is a beautifully kept Beneteau 60. She has been professionally captained since her purchase from Beneteau in 2016 (private cruising only, never chartered). No expenses have been spared in her upkeep and maintenance. The seller has decided to step up into a larger sailboat, thereby presenting a wonderful opportunity for any buyers looking for one of the nicest boats in the class at a competitive price point.  

The Beneteau 60’s modern hull design provides more than respectable performance, while the deck is cleverly set up in such a way that she can be easily singlehanded by her captain or by an experienced owner. The rig plan features an in-mast main furling mainsail, push-button furling genoa, and self-tacking staysail. Notably, all sheets, halyards, other control lines and buttons are positioned within reach of the helm seat – this allows full operation of the rig and sails from the wheel without having to go forward. She is well set up for safe, ergonomic, self-sufficient cruising and has been successfully sailed in that manner by her current owners.  

The modern twin-wheel, open cockpit offers ample space for sailing, lounging, and entertaining. Arguably her most unique design feature, the transom flips down to provide an effective boarding platform from the dock or from the dinghy, or to serve as a ‘superyacht style’ beach lounge/swim platform (w/ integrated swim ladder).  

Down below, you’ll be hard-pressed to find another model that offers four comfortable, en-suite cabins in a 60 ft LOA hull. INTERIOR EQUIPMENT

Fully air-conditioned throughout the interior – Five Cruisair units (1/ cabin) for a total of 60,000 BTUs. Each of the three guest staterooms offers a double berth, one of which converts to two single berths. The forepeak has two single berths (bunks) with a separate entrance for crew. Push-button privacy curtains on main salon windows, and all deck hatches have bug screens and sun shades. 

Starting from forward there is a large sail storage/workshop/forepeak area which doubles as a crew-quarters or kids cabin (two single bunk-berths). This space is accessed via a deck hatch and is sealed off from the rest of the boat via a watertight bulkhead. There is an attached head  with manual-pump Jabsco toilet and a sink with extendable shower nozzle. 

Next aft you’ll find the owner’s stateroom with a walk-around/island queen-size berth and en-suite head with sink, stall shower, and electric push-button Jabsco head. This stateroom offers a small desk/workspace, a wine cellar, two large hanging closets plus plenty of shelf space and other miscellaneous storage (cabinets, below the bed, below the floor). There is a large deck hatch overhead for ventilation and natural light.  

The modern open layout in the main salon gives a great feeling of space and effectively connects the sitting area with the dining area, the galley, the nav station, and even the cockpit. 

A large U-shaped settee to starboard comfortably seats six around a modular table, which can be rotated and/or flipped open to double or halve its size per the demand. A large settee to port seats three, and a hide-away LCD TV can be presented with the push of a button against the fwd. Bulkhead. There is also an electrically-actuated hideaway drinks bar located behind the port settee. Both port and starboard settees can double as pilot berths while underway. Deck hatches and raised port lights (deck windows) offer ample natural lighting and ventilation. Removable carpet runners protect the varnished floor soles which are lifted to reveal storage, tankage, systems, and bilges underneath. The mast is encapsulated in a gorgeous varnished wooden façade to match the rest of the interior. 

In the starboard-aft corner of the salon you’ll find the generous navigation station (chart desk). There is ample storage on, in, below, and around this area with plenty of room for charts, emergency gear, and misc. boat equipment. This area also plays host to many of the instruments which display data and control various functions of the boat:

The aft-starboard guest stateroom is similar to the port cabin, but the double bed is modular and can be separated into two single berths. Also, this aft-starboard cabin offers a small desk & workspace. As with the other cabins, an en-suite head and shower is attached.
