Description
Owners Comments
“When we stepped aboard a Helia 44 Evolution at the Annapolis Boat Show in October 2016, we knew she was the one. We loved the open, light-filled space and immediately felt at home. The continuity between the cockpit and the salon and the clear line of sight between the raised helm station and the galley was of particular appeal to us.
At that time, Fountaine Pajot catamarans were known as "owner boats" more than charter boats. When it proved impossible to find a used four-cabin version, we purchased Allende new. We flew to France to commission her and have sailed her every mile since. She's proven to be incredibly seaworthy, and in addition to our Atlantic crossing we've made annual safe passages from the Virgin Islands to the Southern Windwards and back.
We entered the crewed charter market as a way to offset the cost of our new boat. We weren't sure that it would be a career path we loved, but found it to be a natural fit almost immediately. We have spent six happy seasons hosting guests aboard Allende in the BVI, turning our clients into friends along the way. Chartering gave us the budget to keep Allende in pristine condition and make the upgrades we desired.
After proving that we could run a successful, profitable charter business we have been offered a job as Captain and Chef on a newer, larger Fountaine Pajot. We're excited about our new challenge and look forward to sharing our intimate knowledge of Allende with her new owners. May she bring you as much joy as she has brought us! “
Brokers Comments
"As an ex BVI charter skipper myself I know what it takes to keep a catamaran in A1 condition. Allende is an absolute delight, she has been diligently maintained and lovingly cared for by her owner-operators. I am very pleased to be able to offer this boat for sale, we encourage any inspection and will share detailed maintenance records with qualified and serious buyers.
She will be available for viewings close to this year's Annapolis boat show October 13-17 at Pier 7 Marina, Maryland, I encourage you to book an early viewing of this beautiful boat."
